If you can't beat 'em, join 'em...
unless you can't win either party's primary

Rep. Sestak's lower name recognition kept him behind for most of this race. Now that primary voters are paying attention, the polling is going to continue to turn against Sen. Specter. He was too moderate for the GOP primary voters, so now he's looking for votes from Democratic primary voters - the people in Pennsylvania most likely to have never voted for him before.
